A “Section 21 prescription” is a doctor’s prescription paired with a SAHPRA Section 21 authorisation that lets a named patient legally access an unregistered medicine in South Africa (e.g., certain medical-cannabis products). Without the SAHPRA authorisation, the prescription alone can’t be filled.
R700 total, split 50/50: you pay R370 and your Hub pays R370.
No. You can purchase as a patient with a valid Section 21 prescription/authorisation from your doctor. Health Club is optional—joining gives you extra savings and member perks, but it isn’t required to shop.

Section 21 approvals are time-limited (commonly up to 6 months) and don’t auto-renew. Before it expires, book a follow-up with your treating doctor. If treatment should continue, your doctor submits a new Section 21 application with updated product/dose/duration.
Yes. Cannexus follows POPIA-aligned practices: we collect only what’s needed, store it securely, and never sell your data.
Yes—any time in your account settings. Your membership stays active until the end of the current billing period and then stops. Cancelling doesn’t affect your patient profile or any valid Section 21 authorisation.
Yes—patients first create an account/login, then proceed through guided steps. This keeps documents secure and statuses clear.
Hubs apply via the Hub Login. Approved partners receive operational guidelines and compliance tooling.
